After finishing a sonic-landscaped soundtrack for Brittish indie film Leave To Remain and hitting up the summer music festival scene, English indie rock quartet Alt-J (aka ∆) - including Gwil Sainsbury (guitar/bass), Joe Newman (guitar/vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards) and Thom Green (drums) hit the studio to lay down a new collection of tracks with some of the coolest kids in indie music.
This morning, Alt-J (∆) announced on Facebook that they will be releasing a new EP, titled Summer, on Monday, November 25 - digitally and on vinal. Following the success of their 2012 debut album, An Awesome Wave, this new collection of tracks (six, to be exact) features remixes from Jim James of My Morning Jacket (and one of my personal favorites, Monsters of Folk), Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, rapper The Internet of Odd Future, Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons’, Hanz and a rad reworking of the band’s breakout single Tessellate by Ben De Vries.
